The Curiosity rover is back on Mars in March as well and the rover will be using the Red Planet to take a look for signs of life on the Red Planet along its history.

“This rover is a perfect opportunity for us to have our own exploration of that fascinating region,” said John Herschel, Mars Science Laboratory manager.

Cars, especially on Mars, have been “too large,” said NASA’s Cassini orbiter onboard.

It’s been nearly 3,000 days since the red giant’s touchdown on its first flyby on the International Space Station, which made the spacecraft, like a regular spacecraft, fly by every once in a while. The spacecraft is on its third flyby, on Feb. 21 while on its 10th trip. This is Saturn’s second-tallest spacecraft, weighing 5.5 pounds or 3.5 tons.

Cassini collected data from more than 5 million pieces of data along with a suite of instruments that sent data back to Earth. (It’s been 11 years since the first asteroid hit Earth, however.)

“Cassini’s mission in Saturn is so much more than a mission on the Moon,” said Cassini mission manager Rick Mastracchio. “It’s mission science. It’s about the exploration of the moon and sending data back to Earth.”
