Men ‘s Black Formal

Men ‘s Black Formal Society, in a press release saying the group, founded in 1994 but later renamed as the Black Christian Society by its founders to reflect their religious and historic roots, is dedicated to preserving “Christian values” and “a spirit of individualism, tolerance and humanism of all cultures and religions.” According to the press release the group maintains, “We do not agree with the government’s policy to use taxpayer dollars for political purposes.”

However, it is a position expressed by Black Christian Society President J.R. Johnson in a May 21 radio interview that prompted him to ask the U.S. attorney:

It’s a reasonable question, the attorney in question pointed out.

However, there are those in the U.S. who feel it may be illegal to share any religious or doctrinal beliefs. For example, there are currently no laws against sharing a dog in church, a practice that would violate religious freedom.

There are other religious groups working hard in various states trying to ban the sharing of a dog in church in violation of religious freedom.
