We’re working on two things – One-Handheld will let us create immersive and thrilling game modes, while One-Handheld will help a few people to create their own special mode (such as a one-handed shooter, as in the first installment of the popular multiplayer game “Brawl 2”).

In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Valve’s head of mobile, Gabe Newell discussed the possibilities of both systems, and how it relates to how he wants to evolve the platform within the space of virtual reality.

One-Handheld is the game where you bring 3D space combat mechanics on your 3DS-wielding friend; Two-Handed is the game where you are forced to play in a virtual reality environment with a person in a 3D environment; and One-Handheld is the game where you are tasked with completing puzzles and defeating enemies to earn items and other rewards.
